Once you apply to Airwin’s commercial pilot training, here’s what you can expect:

  1. Initial Contact: Your application, including your name, email, and phone number, will be entered into our Pipedrive system. An Airwin training consultant will convert your inquiry into a deal and place it in the appropriate pipeline.

  2. Preliminary Phone Call: The training consultant will call you to discuss your educational background, language certifications, current occupation, and your motivation for becoming an airline pilot. We’ll also talk about the Class 1 medical examination, which is crucial for your application. If everything checks out, the consultant will assist you in scheduling your medical examination as soon as possible.

  3. Casual Meeting: If the preliminary checks are positive, the consultant will have a more relaxed conversation with you where they outline the training process in broad terms. They will then arrange a personal meeting with you, usually in a calm setting such as a café or even at our facility at Tököl Airport. At this meeting, they typically bring a small gift, like an Airwin card holder with a lanyard, a notebook, and a pen.

  4. In-depth Presentation: During your face-to-face meeting, the consultant will present the full training process, answer any questions you may have, and introduce the steps of the preparatory program. If you like the program and wish to proceed, the consultant will send you the details via email and ask for a response to confirm your participation.

  5. Ongoing Communication: The consultant will keep in touch weekly to offer assistance, answer any new questions, and check on your progress with the medical examination.

  6. Reminder Calls: The consultant will call you again when the first preparatory program approaches to confirm your attendance. They will also remind you during the week of the program and again on the day or the day before to ensure your participation.

  7. Post-Program Follow-up: After each preparatory session, the consultant will call to get your feedback, discuss any new questions, and check on the status of your medical examination. This follow-up happens after each of the 6-7 sessions.

  8. Medical Certificate Celebration: Once you pass the medical examination, you or the consultant will make a celebratory call, and if they don’t hear from you, they’ll reach out the day after the exam to check on your status.

  9. Final Stages: As the list narrows, only serious candidates, such as those who have completed their Class 1 medical examination, are invited to the open day, which is the last step of the preparatory phase. Many are already enrolled in university by this stage.

  10. Application Review: The consultant, along with a representative of the university, checks to ensure all applications are complete and correct.

  11. University Transition: If your application is successful and in order, the consultant will transfer your details to the university. You will be notified the following week about when to come in for the admission interview.

This structured approach ensures that each candidate is well-prepared and informed throughout the application process, leading to a seamless transition into their pilot training with Airwin.
